Prayer Shawl Ministry
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who have helped in making our beautiful shawls. This would not have been possible without the donations of yarn so many of you have made. Thank You!
Since we have started this ministry we have given out over 100 shawls!!
For over a year we have been going to Clay Care Center here in Hayesville each month on the 3rd Wednesday which is the day they celebrate the residents birthday. We have given over 60 shawls to the residents so far. This has been a very satisfying ministry.
Remember if you know of anyone who would benefit from receiving a shawl please feel free to just take one from the Prayer Shawl closet located just outside the Library.
There will be no meetings in November or December, but we will resume in the new year. Watch for date in Sunday bulletin.
In the meantime our focus will be on making the Prayer Squares that we will be sending to our Military personnel.
